A rare Victorian 10 carat gold sliding cedar Pencil Holder of plain cylindrical form with attached suspension ring, the sliding sleeve to propel the pencil engraved - 'Jubilee 1887.M.T.Co.' and mounted with the Royal Crown of Victoria and the crest of the Merchant Taylor's Company (a lamb passant in front of a rising sun).
The barrel stamped: S. Mordan & Co and with the arrow symbol for 10 carat gold.
