A fine quality late 19th century French parcel gilt silver Vesta Case of rounded rectangular form with crocodile skin decoration to the base and sides, the face with inset enamel panel finely painted with a tavern scene, silver gilt interior and an unusual sprung opening mechanism to one side.

Makers mark indecipherable, Paris, France c1890.
