A late 19th century American novelty silver plated Stamp Case made in the form of a Thomas Jefferson postcard with a New York cancellation mark for May 20th 1890. The front engraved "POStage Stamps In", the reverse engraved with the legend -"Dear Uncle, you are two centsable to heed the licking our people stick to your purpose, your affec' niece, Columbin". The case swiveling open on a pin.
