A very fine Victorian oval silver Vinaigrette with shaped borders and cast thumb-piece, the cover engraved with scrolls on a rayed background, inscribed inside: ""M W H to Adalaide Cholmeley 1853"", the intricately pierced grille including a vase of flowers. A memorial chamber concealed under a second hinged lid engraved with a presentation inscription in French dated 1846 and containing arranged locks of hair held together with a tiara formed from pearls and gold wire under a glass cover.
Complete with original leather case.
