A very fine quality early 20th century 9 carat gold and enamel Propelling Pencil with push button ""Gravity Drop"" opening mechanism, the plain cylindrical body with integral swivelling perpetual calender with blue enamelled numbers and letters for the days of the week, Sunday in red. Of a larger size and more substantial gauge than the more frequently encountered octagonal examples.
