Early 20th Century Silver & Enamel White Horse Whisky Wine Label
A rare early 20th century silver and enamel advertising Wine Label made in the Art Nouveau style with black enamelled name and logo for White Horse Whisky, the heart shape label with scrolled outline.
White Horse Whisky is produced by White House Distillers, who were known until 1924 as Mackie and Co., and was established by a Mr. James Logan Mackie in 1861. The Company became successful under its second head Mr. Peter Mackie an entrepreneur and the driving force who registered the name 'White Horse' named after a famous Edinburgh coaching inn for his blend in 1890. When he died in 1924 his whisky was one of the foremost blends in the entire world.
