A large Edward VIII parcel gilt silver "Stockbrokers" Pencil with engine turned body and vacant rectangular cartouche, the pull-off gilded finial formed as a royal crown and opening to reveal a lead reservoir containing spare coloured leads.

This piece assayed in 1936 during the short reign of Edward VIII who abdicated in December of that year and was never crowned. It is a rare hallmark.
