A rare early 20th century silver advertising Propelling Pencil, of plain tubular form with flared terminal set with the trademark of the Gramophone Company Ltd, depicting a dog named Nipper curiously peering into the horn of a wind-up gramophone. The nozzle twists to propel the lead. The barrel engraved - 'With the Compliments of the Gramophone Co Ltd'.
