Mead is an ancient alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey with water, often with added fruits, spices, or grains, known as "honey wine" or "hydromel". Considered one of the oldest drinks, it's made by yeast consuming the honey's sugar and can range from sweet to dry, still to sparkling, with alcohol content varying widely, offering diverse flavors from floral to fruity.
