A George V Boxed Hanoverian-rat-tail pattern Canteen of Silver Cutlery, all same date and maker and engraved with a family crest, the Spoons with raised front ribs and rat-tail bowls, the forks with three pronged tines, consisting of:-
12 Table Spoons, 12 Dessert Spoons, 12 Table Forks, 12 Desert Forks, 16 Coffee Spoons, 5 Tea Spoons, 2 Sauce Ladles, 4 Salt Spoons, 1 Butter Knife, 12 Table Knives with steel blades and bone handles, 12 Dessert Knives, 2 Pairs of Carving Knives & Forks, 1 Knife Sharpener (105).
The canteen is presented in its original fitted oak box with two gate legs to the front and brass fittings and handles, a vacant shield shaped cartouche to the lid.
