Large Victorian Silver Kitchen Nutmeg Grater
Rawlings & Summers, London 1842
Photo 1 of 11
A very large Victorian silver kitchen Nutmeg Grater, of semi-circular form with reeded borders and flush-hinged base. The reverse engraved with an armorial crest of a bears head couped and muzzled. A "bear's head couped and muzzled" is a common heraldic crest, but most notably associated with the Scottish Clan Galbraith.
By Rawlings & Summers, London 1842.
This example is about 40% taller than an average size Kitchen Nutmeg Grater.
