A very fine quality gold mounted Tortoiseshell and gold pique work sliding Propelling Pencil with inlaid gold dot decoration, the slider button formed as a ""Prince of Wales Feathers"" motif. The fixed chased terminal set with an amethyst seal stone.
Unmarked, but almost certainly by Joshua Butler & Co, London, c1825 (the fixed terminal points to a slightly earlier date).
