Alfred Clark, London 1904
Photo 1 of 7

A rare Edwardian silver Vesta Case of rounded rectangular form with hinged flip-top lid, the case decorated with two diagonal enamel stripes in yellow and dark blue - the racing colours of Leopold de Rothschild. The case is also engraved with his initials 'L R' and St Amant Derby 1904.

St Amant was Rothschild's second Derby winner and he won against the odds during a terrific thunderstorm. (See: the Steppes Hill Farm Antiques Newsletter No 16 October 2012 for more information).
