An extremely rare Victorian 18 carat gold, silver and enamel novelty telescopic Propelling Pencil modelled as a Champagne Bottle, with white enamel label for Louis Roederer, Reims. Attached gold suspension ring. The barrel stamped with the retailer's mark of J & G Beasley, 34 St James's Street, 18 Ct.
Almost certainly by Sampson Mordan & Co, c1880.
