An extremely rare Victorian novelty silver Propelling Pencil formed as a wooden sign post with an owl perched on one arm.
The pencil extended via a push button sliding mechanism and the arms of the sign post engraved with the names of two Seaside Towns in Kent - Hythe and Dover. Stamped W. Thornhill & Co.
