An extremely rare Victorian novelty silver and enamel Vesta Case of rectangular form with hinged lid, the face enamelled to represent a First Class Epsom Downs to London Victoria Railway Train Ticket. Silver gilt interior with part cover.
One of a series made with popular racecourse destinations, Newmarket, Ascot, Epsom etc.
