A rare and interesting early 18th century silver mounted Shagreen covered Lancet Case, with push button hinged cover opening to reveal the two steel Lancets with Mother of Pearl covers.
Unmarked c1720. The base of the case engraved “J .Berry, Surgeon 1797”, The lid of the case engraved with the initials “JB”, the Lancet covers also engraved “J Berry”. The steel Lancets also marked.

Condition
In good condition, although there is some minor loss to the Shagreen cover on the back spine above and below the hinge.
