A fine quality mid Victorian 18 carat gold (tested) mechanical Propelling Pencil with an unusual dual action, a single stage telescopic extension with a twist action to propel and withdraw the pencil itself. The body finely engraved with foliate scrolls and flower heads.
Stamped : S MORDAN & Co and also engraved with a diamond registration mark for 1856
