A fine and rare Victorian cast silver Wine Label with pierced vine leaf and grape border surrounding a scrolled nameplate pierced for Claret and surmounted by an Earl's Coronet.
By Rawlings & Summers, London c1839.
Provence: Archibald William Montgomerie, 13th Earl of Eglinton & Winton. Probably commissioned for the infamous 'Eglinton Tournament' of the 18th August 1839.

In good condition with no damage or repair, the hallmarks partly obscured by the piercing.
