Victorian Early Silver Horseshoe Vesta Case Combined Wick Holder - Crest of Henry
Henry William Dee, London 1868
Photo 1 of 10
A good quality and early Victorian silver Vesta Case combined with a wick holder, made in the form of a horseshoe with attached suspension ring, with superb double hinged opening mechanism and silver gilt interior and striker. A knurled wheel to one side to extend the wick and an applied crest to the circular cartouche depicting a demi lion rampant out of a ducal coronet and holding a ducal coronet between its paws, possibly for the Henry family.
