A very fine quality and rare novelty silver Propelling Pencil made in the form of a Spinning Top, with applied bands of gold decoration and attached suspension ring. With superb four drawer telescopic action to extend the pencil.
Stamped: Hamilton & Co, Calcutta and Registered design number 127070, c1880.
Probably made by Sampson Mordan & Co in England and exported to India.
