A rare Victorian novelty silver Propelling Pencil made in the form of an Owl sitting on a perch, with amber coloured glass eyes and attached suspension ring.
Unmarked, but probably by Sampson Mordan, c1870
This is the less common version of the two owl pencils produced by Mordan.
