A rare Victorian novelty silver Vinaigrette formed as a Pannier of vertical reeds or straw bundles woven together, hinged at the shoulder with decorated lid and base, a pair of small rings to the sides and larger suspension ring to the lid. The silver gilt interior with slightly domed pierced grille with a raised cross to the centre within a decorative border.
