An extremely rare Victorian novelty silver three drawer telescopic Propelling Pencil, made in the form of a Policeman's Bullseye Lantern, the body with a circular domed glass magnifying lens with pink foil background. Two hinged carrying handles to the reverse and attached suspension ring. The telescopic pencil pulling out from the base.

By Sampson Mordan, London, c1873. Stamped with a diamond registration mark for 23rd October 1873.
