A very fine late 19th century patented American sterling silver and enamel novelty Stamp Case made in the form of an envelope. The front enamelled with a 2 cent stamp and a Philadelphia post mark for 1891, the reverse with a received mark for 4.1.91. The cover engraved with a name and address for Miss Chesshire, Bridgeton, N.J. The silver gilt interior stamped: Sterling and with patent mark for June 24 90.
