A fine William IV silver mounted Aide Memoire with two rectangular silver panels chased and engraved with landscape scenes inside scroll work borders in high relief, one depicting a rare view of Abbotsford House (the home of Sir Walter Scott) from across the river Tweed and the other depicting Newstead Abbey (the home of Lord Byron). The green silk lined interior complete with three ivory pages named for days of the week. A contemporary silver propelling pencil held within leather retaining loops.
