A rare Victorian Armorial silver Wine Label depicting the full Coat of Arms and heraldic crest of the Latham (Lathum/Lathom) family - (Or, on a chief indented sable, three plates). The shield shaped label with the crest above depicting an eagle preying on a child in swaddling clothes with an oak branch at the head of the child. The reverse of the label engraved with contemporary script initials ""HL"", possibly for Henry Latham.
