A rare Victorian silver castle-top Card Case chased and engraved with foliate scroll decoration, the face with high relief scene depicting the Martyrs Memorial, Oxford. The reverse with a shaped cartouche engraved with the name Charlotte R Loomis.

The Martyrs' Memorial is a stone monument positioned at the intersection of St Giles', Magdalen Street and Beaumont Street, to the west of Balliol College, Oxford, England. It commemorates the 16th-century Oxford Martyrs.
