A fine quality early Victorian silver gilt ""Castle Top"" Vinaigrette of rectangular form with raised foliate borders and sides, the base with engine turned decoration and a vacant rectangular cartouche, the lid with a chased and engraved view in high relief depicting Abbotsford House, the home of Sir Walter Scott. The silver gilt interior with finely pierced foliate scroll grille.
