A rare Victorian silver Spare Leads Case of a registered design, the hollow cylindrical case with a pull-off lid, the rifled exterior with tubes to accept the leads, the revolving inner lid holds the contents in place and has a recess in the rim to allow one lead to be removed at a time.
By Sampson Mordan & Co, c1855.
The base stamped: REGISTERED - MARCH 7th - 1855.
The lid stamped: S.MORDAN & Co & 'H' for 0.9mm Hard Leads.
